Q: Is the Marble Polishing and Marble Restoration messy?
A: At Classic Marble Restoration, Inc. we treat your home as if it were our own – with respect and cleanliness. The majority of our procedures are performed with water to eliminate the creation of dust.
Q: What do you do with our furniture while you are working on our floors?
A: We will move all furniture within reason. Our Team is capable to shift around your couches, tables, and anything else that is not “built-in” or dangerous if not moved by proper handlers. To ensure that everything goes back into their proper place we will take pictures of your rooms prior to re-arranging your items. However, we do recommend that you remove small table-top and personal items from your furniture prior to our arrival to make our process as efficient as possible.
Q: Do you provide FREE estimates?
Q: Once you complete your service will I be required to have professional follow-up care?
A: Typically speaking, you should have some form of annual maintenance performed on your floors. Cleaning and sealing them once per year will help to ensure that your floors are resilient and stay looking great. Classic Marble Restoration, Inc. will also educate you in dealing with your stone on a day-to-day basis as well as recommend safe cleaning products.
Q: Will I still get stains in my marble and natural stone if it is sealed?
A: Contrary to common-belief, you may still get stains even when your stone is sealed. However, most of the blemishes you find from everyday use are actually “etches” and not “stains.” Etches are generally caused from caustic products and acids, such as: citric acid, alcohol, hairspray, vinegar, and bleach. They usually appear as colorless dull spots. Stains are discolorations inside the stone that are caused by oils and dark liquids, like wine and ink. In many cases these stains can be extracted – but sometimes they can not.
